Applications and examples

EPG has characteristics such as a low phase transition temperature, 

good flexibility, and negative charge,making it commonly used in the

development of liposomal drugs for poorly soluble drugs or those with 

special requirements. Additionally, EPG can be used as an emulsifier to prepare lipid emulsions, with a notable example being Fuji Pharma’s second-generation alprostadil injection, which has a shelf life of two years.
